I just decided this morning when I was out jogging that I would start my own blog. So here it goes. I hope that at least someone will read this besides myself. A couple of days ago I ran across myrecycledbags.com by Cindy. This is my inspiration. I highly recommend reading her blog, even if you don’t like to crochet. I hope that I can inspire one person like she has inspired me.
I guess to start out, the reason behind the name. I wanted something special for the title so I began searching for a quote. This is only part of the quote but it spoke to me. I am just an average person. The last six months or so I decided that I am going to recycle. I don't know that I am really going to help this world out at all, but if everyone recycled then we would be getting somewhere.
I have been married for 5 years to a great guy. He has taken really good care of me, our boxer (dog) Jaide, and Ashlyn. He works too hard for his own good. He wants to help everyone and he works hard so that his boss never thinks that he is not worth keeping around. Sometimes is drives me crazy that he wont take a day of to spend with me, but then I am grateful that he works so hard every time I go shopping.
I have a two year old daughter. She is the joy of my life. She is a toe-head, with bright blue eyes, and built stocky like her dad. She is full of life and plays all the time with her best friend Jaide (the dog). She loves me to read to her and count with her. She is finally figuring out her colors. She also loves to do sign language.
I have been really blessed in my life. I have never had to get a real job since I have been married. I do own a wedding decorating business that is more like a hobby than anything. I would like it to be more than that. I love decorating for wedding and receptions. I love seeing a place transformed from a boring church, park, or building into a beautiful and unique wedding/reception. I get a high from it. The business has been slowly growing. I just started in January really pushing to get jobs. My goal for this year has been to have 12 weddings/receptions. It is almost June and I have either done or have booked 8. I am excited for the business to take off.
