Chunky Interchangeable Watch

I went to a class a few weeks ago and learned how to make these really great watches. This is the first one that I did. I love it. My favorite is the long beads, they have a weird texture on them.

After I made the first one it was so much easier to figure out the next ones. I would have a whole bunch more made, but it is really hard to find lobster claws.

I am thinking that I am going to try selling them on etsy. What do you think?

Belly Band Tutorial

I made some really cute belly bands for myself. I just could not get myself to pay $10-$30+ for a single belly band. I did not need them that much. So I found some stretchy fabric (swimsuit material works great as does t shirt type material, whatever is your preference).
You can find the tutorial here on my etsy site. Of if it is no longer available please leave me a comment on etsy or here and I will relist it for you.

The first of many baby blankets!

I love, love, love how this ragged baby blanket turned out. I have not clipped the edges yet because my mom took the scissors with her, but even with the edges not clipped I just love the blanket!
This blanket is from my mom to the new baby that is coming in May! My lil sis is also having a baby in June and we put together her blanket the day that we got together. We did not have time to do mine so I did it over the last two days.
Of course I could not follow the pattern, I had to be different, so I changed up how big the squares were and cut out flowers using my cricut instead of using the patterns flowers.
This is the first quilt that I have done that actually lined up all the way throughout. The first rag quilt that I did I think there was probably about 9 strips and the difference in lenght between the shortest and longest strip was probably 6 inches. Yeah, it was way, way off.
So now 5-10 quilts later (who knows how many really) I actually am getting somewhere. Let me know what you think.

Another Wedding...Kinda

I was asked to decorate for a luncheon and a ring ceremony last weekend.

Everything that I decorated was pretty basic. Black curtain to separate room, backdrop for ring ceremony, and table linens for the luncheon. The one thing that was not in my "normal routine" was the centerpieces. I have been debating including basic centerpieces in my decorating, but have not been asked to do so. I had a lot of fun thinking up different ideas. This was the end result

4 Generations Scrapbook Layout

I am new to challenges and sketches. Up until a week or so ago I had never tried one. Also I have been in a scrap rut for a few months.

I just have to say...I love sketches and challenges. They give me inspiration. They get me going.

Here is my latest entry. The sketch is from sketch this, the recipe is from Sketches, and the challenge is from How much is too much.

So use three different ribbons, staples and a number for the sketches recipe.
The challenge was to use a kit that you have and have not used. We were to use as much of the kit as possible. The kit that I used is from Breezy Designs.

This scrapbook page was so easy to put together because I had the guidelines. I am hoping that by doing these challenges that I will get in the groove of scrapping again and get my daughters book all caught up before the new one comes in May. Wish me luck!

Challenge Card with Mojo Monday

I had so much fun doing those other two sketches that I decided to do another one. This time I used Mojo Mondays sketch with Whimsical Scraps challenge. This card was 10 times harder to do than the other sketches. The challenge was to only use black and white and use your cricut to cut out the word spring.
My cricut was not cooperating with me. I used design studio to create the spring baby. For some reason when my cricut cuts using design studio the blade sometimes does not lift up so it cuts my creation. I swear that design studio overrides the settings for pressure and speed so sometimes it just does not cut right. Oh well it finally worked after cutting it out 10 times.

The flower is a crochet flower that I made. I just love them!
Thanks for looking!
