Cleaning the kitchen: How to

I just wanted to share a couple of tips that I have found when cleaning the kitchen (ok really just one :)

VINEGAR

It does wonders for cleaning. For example: under my pans in the cupboard is always greasy and grimy and black. I know that I clean the pans before they go in but for some reason the leave this grim behind. I added a couple of tablespoons of regular white vinegar to hot water and wiped the cupboards clean. They look nice and sparkly now.

I wiped down all the insides and outsides of the cupboards down this way (with just a washrag) and it worked great.

One other simple thing is to start your cleaning with a clean slate. I loaded the dishwasher, cleared off the cabinets before I started deep cleaning. Then I never ran into a mess that overwhelmed me. I also work methodically. I start on one end of the kitchen and slowly make my way around the entire room. Actually, I have found that having a method to my madness works to my advantage. I work quicker and much more efficiently.

And lastly, I really did not care what the floor looked like while I was cleaning. My girls played and played there and made a mess, but in the end it was a lot easier to clean that up then referee the girls all the time

Remember that you can link up your kitchen spring cleaning projects to the after post

Good luck!
