Fireflies and Jellybeans highlight

I am posting over at fireflies and jellybeans today. Go on over and see what I made.

Oh and I just hit over 200 readers....I cannot believe it. That is amazing. I did not ever think that anyone would be interested in what I do.

My hubby makes fun of the name of my blog. I am only 1 woman. But it is true. I am only 1 person with so many different hats, but I still can make a difference to someone. I hope that someone has been you and thank you all for following me on this journey. I hope I live up to your expectations.

I am kinda out of commission right now. I have a bad head cold and so does the baby. We all know how that goes. I hope you all have a great day and later this week I am going to show you all how I made this really fun skirt

PS don't forget to join me for check me out saturdays link party. The link for last week is still open just scroll down and you will find it. I promise I will get around to everyones link after I feel a little bit better.

How to make your own Fondant

Today I want to share with you all how to make Fondant.

Fondant is really easy to work with, but the real stuff is nasty...that is all that there is to it. It does not taste good.

Fondant Recipe:
1 bag marshmallows
1 2 lb bag of powdered sugar
1 tsp coconut flavoring
1 tbsp water

Directions
melt the marshmallows, coconut flavoring, and water in the microwave. Then in a mixer add the powdered sugar. Make sure to add it slowly. You want the fondant to be the texture of dough. A little on the sticky side.

I made some fondant in Mesa and I used about 1/2 of the bag, but in Idaho I use 3/4 of the bag.

This is the fondant all mixed up. After you have made the fondant put it in some press and seal or an airtight bowl. Let it sit for about 10 minutes so that the sugars can all dissolve. Then you can start to work with it. If you have extra or need to wait awhile before using it, put it into the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Then when you are ready to use it put it in the microwave for a few seconds and you are ready to play again.

If you want to dye the fondant just knead the food coloring into it.
The possibilities are endless with fondant. I often make cupcakes and fondant when I am watching kids. It is just like play dough. Soft and pliable

I have a few more tips for how to use fondant here and here

Thanks again Fawnda for spotlighting me.

It is a twin size blanket with 2 pillow shams
It includes a basketball applique
Lacrosse Applique
Football Applique
and swimming applique
The customer requested a blanket that included the Baltimore Ravens colors (minus the purple) and all the sports that her son enjoys. This blanket was definitely a lot of work, and I hope my customer loves it.

Spring on the Brain

I found this fun easy greenhouse at wally world the other day. My daughter and her cousin got to pick out which seeds we planted (they picked 2 different kinds of flowers and peppers to plant)

We planted them Saturday night
And look what I found this morning. Only 36 hours later.
Oh Spring. You cannot come soon enough

Also, the week of April 12 I will be hosting a week long Spring Extravaganza. Anyone wanting to participate by doing a giveaway, tutorial, or spring cleaning tips/tricks please email me at boblyns at yahoo dot com for the information.

Blog Swap with Amanda from Every Craft Endeavor

Thanks Bobbie for Blog Swapping with me Today!
I am super excited to be here and to meet your cute readers!
Hello to everyone at A Vision to Remember!!
My name is Amanda and I am the creative mind behind “Every Crafty Endeavor.” I am married to a dashingly handsome, hard-working man named Spencer and we have a little boy named Quinn! I work part time as a writer on a marketing team for an Engineering Company and craft in my “spare time.” I have been a “mommy blogger” for a couple years – and started Every Crafty Endeavor to showcase some crafty ideas that I have done. I love to craft and cook and I have lots of fun ideas and tutorials that I love to share. I am constantly thinking about things to cook, make or sew, accessories that pop, ways to decorate my home and things to photograph.

If you stop by and visit me you will find projects like:

Each Thursday I try and find cute blogs and bloggers to swap with
and sometimes on Fridays I do my Friday Favorites where I showcase
a bunch of projects made by other creative bloggers!
When you have a minute, please stop by and say hello and see what other crafts I have been working on. I am always looking for new ladies to blog swap with and fun crafty ideas for my Friday Favorites.

Thanks Bobbie and all you cute readers! Have a great Day!

Just a reminder for everyone Saturday will be our next installment of our Link Party "Check ME out saturdays" Make sure to come on over and link up. Hope to see you around
